Founded in 2014 by Sean Wittenberg and Bryan Boches, childhood friends from Corte Madera, Marin County. The trigger was Wittenberg's mother developing mercury poisoning from eating tuna daily. They invented a proprietary technology that tests every individual fish for mercury in seconds, the only brand in the world to do this. Around one in four fish is rejected. Safe Catch Elite and Ahi are the official tuna of the American Pregnancy Association. Based in Sausalito, California.
