A note on our data

Every deal on this page is checked before it is shown. Price drops come from our own record: we log what every shop charges each day, so a drop means the tin really costs less than it did. Sales are the shops' own strikethroughs, and a “was” price is only worth repeating if it looks like a price anyone ever paid. So we keep markdowns inside an honest band, roughly 5 to 65 percent, and discard the rest. That is why you will never see 72 percent off here: a discount that size is almost never a discount.
