Alberto Soares Ribeiro opened two canning plants in 1911, one near Setúbal and one in Olhão. They thrived for decades before closing after the 1974 revolution. Nearly a century later, his great-grandson Tiago Soares Ribeiro revived the legacy: he started producing small batches in 2013 and sold them from a yellow Piaggio motorcycle near St. Jorge Castle in Lisbon. Two years and two national awards later, he opened a petiscaria in the same neighbourhood.
