António Jacinto Ferreira arrived in Olhão as a teenager in 1918 and never left. He worked his way from fish brining to founding his own labels: Jupiter in 1947, Good Boy in 1950, and finally Conserveira do Sul itself in 1954. Four generations on, the family still runs the cannery three minutes from the Olhão fishing port. In Olhão they talk about it less like a company and more like an institution.
