Calma Chicha

Calma Chicha is the contemporary sub-brand of Conservas El Capricho, a family cannery in Santoña, Cantabria. Where El Capricho's main line carries the weight of 30-plus years of anchovy tradition, Calma Chicha was created to reach a younger, more international audience. Named for two characters built into the packaging: Calma, a sardine, and Chicha, a mussel. Cantabrian sardines, Galician mussels, and Cantabrian scallops, packed with the same care as the parent brand but presented in a looser, more graphic register.
