Shimizu-based cannery founded in 1949, located in Shimizu ward of Shizuoka City, Japan's canned tuna capital. Produces mackerel, oyster, and other seafood under the Aiko Chan brand, using no chemical seasonings, preservatives, or artificial ingredients across the entire product line. Sources mackerel seasonally from Sanriku, the Izu Peninsula, and other Japanese fishing grounds, selecting fish based on freshness, fat content, and season. The Aiko Chan brand name references a little girl character created in 2011, reflecting the company's philosophy of making food safe and delicious enough to share with children. Also operates a factory in Hachinohe, Aomori Prefecture for Sanriku mackerel products.
