Founded in 1992 by Skip Bennett in Duxbury, Massachusetts, on a lease in Duxbury Bay. Bennett developed the island creek oyster brand from a single grant into one of the most recognisable oyster producers on the East Coast. Island Creek oysters are known for their briny, sweet flavour profile from the cold, tidal waters of Duxbury Bay. The company expanded into tinned oysters and other preserved seafood alongside its fresh oyster business, which supplies top restaurants nationally.
