The Gonidec family founded Conserverie Gonidec in Concarneau in 1959, naming the brand after Jacques Gonidec II's favourite football team, the Mouettes d'Arvor, the seagulls of Arvor. The last remaining fish cannery in Concarneau, one of France's largest fishing ports, sourcing only from fishermen who dock within five miles of the factory. Everything is done by hand. Now in its third generation.
